Robert Clark "Bob" Seger (born May 6, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter, guitarist and pianist. As a locally successful Detroit-area artist, he performed and recorded as Bob Seger and Silver Bullet Band
A roots rocker with a classic raspy, shouting voice, Seger wrote and recorded songs that deal with love, women and blue-collar themes and is an exemplar of heartland rock. Seger has recorded many hits, including "Ramblin Gamblin Man", "Night Moves", "Turn the Page", "Still the Same", "Weve Got Tonight", "Against the Wind", "Youll Accompny Me", "Shame on the Moon", "Like a Rock", and "Shakedown", which was written for Beverly Hills Cop II. Seger also co-wrote the Eagles number-one hit "Heartache Tonight", and his iconic recording of "Old Time Rock and Roll" was named one of the Songs of the Century in 2001.

Bob Seger on Live Records:
Seger didnâ™t actually want to cut a live record. As he told Rolling Stone later, “I was really opposed to a live album but frankly, I just couldnâ™t finish the new record. We were supposed to deliver a new product in January, but by April I still wasnâ™t ready. We just couldnâ™t wait any longer or weâ™d lose all the momentum from Beautiful Loser. We werenâ™t even getting gigs â™cause we were so cold.” With the clock ticking and the label hungry for another release, the decision was made to attempt to produce something like what KISS had done with Alive! or Peter Frampton had done with Frampton Comes Alive.
And as all know Bob Seger always did his best work Live.
